Booking Info
How do we go about getting ourselves booked?
If you want to get your band booked into the Creepy Crawl basically what you need to do is -
1. Email us info about your band. Since your reading this online you more than likely have the ability to email. Include in your email basic information about your band, for example, your style of music, where your from and your level of experience. If you are a touring band be sure to include the dates you are looking to get booked. If you have a link to a website that would be helpful. Our email for booking is Booking@JPConcerts.com. If you want to send us a demo and/or a presskit that's cool but isn't required. If you send a demo it doesn't have to be a professional quality recording, just good enough to give us an idea of what you sound like (our mailing address is on the main page). Phone calls are discouraged and should be done only if you feel it is absolutely necessary.
2) Wait to hear back. We're sorry but we can't get back with everyone but will try our best. We get a multitude of emails each day from bands and if we don't respond back it's not that we're trying to blow you off (unless you really suck) it's just there is only so much time in the day to do booking and actually try to run a club at the same time. We do look at and consider everyone who submits a request. If you don't hear back from us in a week or so feel free to try back.
Here's a couple secrets of how to get booked. If you are a local band we like to hear that you can bring people or are at least willing to try and promote your show. If your an out of town band you need to try and sell yourselves as to why we should book you, make a compelling case for yourselves e.g., your on a label, have played or toured with some bigger acts... something.
I see most of your shows are booked by other promoters, how do I get a hold of them?
Here' are some promoters we work with regularly that book both local, regional and touring bands. Feel free to give these guys a try:

Are we going to get paid anything for playing?
Its depends on who books you. If your a local band most promoters will require you to try and sell tickets and your paid based on your ticket sales. Non-local bands usually can work out an agreement in advance with the promoter for a guarantee of some sort. Just ask whoever you are trying to book yourself through on how the band money works.
Can we put our own show together?
Unless you want to rent us out its very unlikely. Our experience in the past has been 90% of the time when bands put shows together they do a piss-poor job of organzing, communicating with us about the lineup and do a lousy job of promoting. In certain cases we work with bands or groups that in the past that have shown us the ability that they do a good job of organizing and promoting shows and we are willing to work with those groups. We don't like to turn down good shows but too many bad experiences in the past have made it very unlikely we'll take you up on the offer of a putting a show together, its just easier and less stressful for us to do it ourselves or work with an established promoter.
Well screw it, don't we have any chance to book our own show?
You can always rent us out, here's the link to do that - Click Here.
Anything else we should know?
All bands get discounted drinks and free sodas. And if you really kick ass on stage you will be surrounded by hot young chicks buying you drinks all night. |
